FAQ About Woodway Assisted Living
What does the rent cost include?
The cost of rent includes all utilities except phone and internet, three meals a day, weekly housekeeping, all amenities, and a full schedule of daily activities.
Is there an additional buy-in on top of rent?
No, the only additional cost would be the level of care charge.
Is this a lease or month-to-month?
This is a month-to-month contract that requires a 30 day move-out notice.
Is there an application fee?
Yes, the application fee for assisted living is $250 and independent is $150. This is a non-refundable fee.
Are other services available?
We offer tray delivery service, laundry service, and extra housekeeping services for a fee. There is an annual deep cleaning fee of $175 and a monthly non-contracted pharmacy fee if you decide to use any other pharmacy than our house pharmacy. Woodway contracts with Consonus Pharmacy because they deliver medications around the clock along with providing auditing and pharmacy in-house review.
How much time do I have to pay privately before rolling over to Medicaid?
Contract states 24 months.
What kind of security do you have on-site?
Security includes all doors being locked at night and 24/7 on-site staffing.
What kind of proof of income is required?
We require bank statements for the past three consecutive months.
Are overnight guests (including children) permitted?
Overnight guest are welcome to stay for a short period of time.
Are pets allowed?
Absolutely! We are a pet-friendly community and we recognize the importance of pets. The pet deposit consists of $500 and we have a $25 monthly fee.
Are furnishings included?
A furnished Respite apartment is available. Furnishings can be available but this is done on a case-by-case basis and may include an additional charge.
Is transportation available?
Woodway's minivan seats seven and is available for scheduled transportation to errands, doctor appointments, etc.
If I move in as an independent and my needs change, am I going to have to move?
The beauty of Woodway Senior Living is that you will be able to stay in the same apartment if the time comes when you need care services.
What makes your property special over other properties in your area?
We are a small community giving our staff the opportunity to make real connections with our residents, to learn quickly their likes, dislikes, and routines. Woodway won’t give our residents the boot when they run out of money and require state assistance when fulfilling your agreement requirements.
